Destination Weddings Antigua Guatemala
A few days ago we had the pleasure of photographing canadian couple Nicole and Dean’s Destination Wedding in Antigua Guatemala. It was a very intimate wedding, full of surprises and very emotional moments. There were several moments that I loved but a few of them stood out.
Since we talked about a year ago about their wedding, we agreed that the artistic session would be done before the ceremony. Something that surprised me -a few days before the wedding- was that the ”first sight” also would be with her son Nathan and her Dad. These moments were really emotional and I even had to hold a few tears.
Wedding planning was conducted by Saguzo Events (highly recommended) and hair/makeup by Vilma Coy and her team.
There are couples with whom we have a very special “click” from the beginning, Nicole and Dean are one of them. During our communications via email and on the wedding day, they expressed their trust and excitement for me to be photographing their wedding… What more can I ask from my clients? There is no better experience than a couple who fully trusts my work and is open to suggestions for their wedding photos.
There are many of their photos that I love and it was very difficult to choose a few to post here. The Ceremony and Party was held in San José El Viejo Ruins, the photo session in several locations in Antigua Guatemala.

Hace pocos días tuvimos el gusto de fotografiar la Boda de Destino en Antigua Guatemala de Nicole y Dean, quienes viajaron desde Canada. Fue una boda bastante íntima, llena de sorpresas y momentos muy emotivos. Hubo varios momentos que me encantaron pero hay unos cuantos que sobresalieron.
Desde que platicamos hace casi un año sobre las fotos de su boda, acordamos que la sesión artística de novios la haríamos antes de la ceremonia. Algo que me sorprendió días antes de la boda fue que además de la “primera vista” con el novio, también la tendrían con Nathan -su hijo- y con su Papá. Estos momentos fueron realmente emotivos y hasta yo tuve que contener un par de lágrimas… :)
La planeación de la boda estuvo a cargo de Saguzo Eventos (súper recomendadas) y el peinado/maquillaje por Vilma Coy y su equipo.
Hay parejas con quienes tenemos un “click” muy especial desde el inicio, Nicole y Dean son unas de ellas. Durante nuestras platicas por correo electrónico y durante el día de la boda, me expresaron su confianza y emoción por que nosotros fotografiaramos su boda… ¿Que más puedo pedir de mis clientes? No hay mejor experiencia que una pareja confíe plenamente en nuestro trabajo y esté abierta a sugerencias para sus fotos de boda.
Hay muchas fotos que me encantan y me fue muy difícil elegir unas cuantas para publicar aquí. La ceremonia y la fiesta se realizaron en las Ruinas de San José El Viejo, la sesión artística de fotos de boda en varios lugares en Antigua Guatemala.

The first emotional moment of the day was the “first sight” with Nathan… / El primer momento emotivo del día fue la “primera vista” con Nathan…
The second moment was the “first sight” with her Dad, this was really touching! / El segundo momento fue la “primera vista” con su Papá, esto fue realmente emotivo!
The “first sight” with Dean was in the Capuchinas Ruins; this intimate moment and artistic session are my highlights of the day because it’s when the couple have a private moment to themselves.
We started the photoshooting at Capuchinas Ruins, then continued at various locations of Antigua Guatemala.

La “primera vista” con Dean se hizo en las ruinas de Capuchinas; este y la sesión artística son de mis momentos favoritos del día, cuando los novios tienen un momento privado para ellos solos. En Capuchinas empezamos la sesión de fotos artísticas de boda, después continuamos la sesión en varios puntos de Antigua.

The ceremony was at the San José El Viejo Ruins, a perfect location for a destination wedding.

After the ceremony, the wedding party took a chicken bus to go to Casa Troccoli where the Bride and Groom were holding a cocktail; later we returned to San José El Viejo for the wedding reception.

Después de la ceremonia, todos tomamos un bus para dirigirnos a Casa Troccoli donde hubo un cocktail, para regresar más tarde a San José El Viejo.
